Creating Surveys That Generate Quality Responses

Have you decided to create a survey and you just can’t come up with the right questions? Here are a few tips when creating surverys that will generate quality responses:

1. Consider what you are looking to find out. Are you targeting current, potential, or past clients? And, most importantly, know how you will utilize this information once you have it? There are so many different options of what you can do with your data. Having a plan before you jump into the actual survey questions will help generate quality questions that can lead to quality responses. Use these responses to your advantage. Giving a “self survey”, if you will, may help you find the right questioning that will bring you measurable responses.  Here are a few things to consider before you actually create your client-based survey.

3. What type of information am I looking to collect?

4. How will I get this survey to my targeted audience?

5. What can I ask that will create measureable data?

6. How do I plan to use this data once collected?

Once you have figured out what to ask; start creating your survey. The goal of any survey is to get feedback that you can use to better your product or service.
