Can You Hear Your Followers?

Awesome content for your fans and followers to receive is, well, awesome! But keeping your fans engaged goes beyond just producing something for them to read. Hook your leads with great and informative content, and improve your relationship by showing you care through your comments and answers to their questions. Hold a conversation with them and they'll remember who provided them with the answers they needed. Here are a few ways to engage with your fans and let them know you're listening.

Be There and Actively Engaged

You have to listen to hear the problem! Make sure that you're receiving notifications that let you know when you've been mentioned online. You can't respond to people if you don't know that they're trying to speak to you. Your response should have a personal tone; your fans aren't asking you questions on autopilot and you in return you shouldn't be answering them in that way. Let your fans know that issues and comments they have are important to you, and that you care about their input. Be actively engaged and interested in what they have to say.

Build Up Your Blog

Always focus on adding value to your blog. If you build up your blog, you'll have your answers in your back pocket to have as responses that somebody may potentially ask or has asked in the past. You know enough to have a portfolio of blogs people can comment and respond to online. Be prepared not only in what they ask but in taking their feedback and creating a new blog. Engage your fans with content they prompted.

Take Initiative: Answer FAQ

If you see the same questions asked over and over, don't just answer them time and time again. Take the initiative to create a blog or a Youtube "how to" videos to address the common concerns of your fans.

This lets your community know they're being heard, but also makes the information shareable to other audiences. You can reach a widespread audience and even answer questions that people didn't even know they had.

Be active in your engagements. Listen for when you've been mentioned, what people want to know and are talking about, and respond like you care with helpful information. Your fans want to be engaged with you, make sure you hear them!
